Slow No Wake

Cruise slowly through shallow waters. Take time to observe the shore and the depths. Take care not to disrupt the ecology that surrounds you- envelopes you. Waves and wakes obscure the water and what lies beneath.

Feel the rise and fall of the boat as you gently proceed to distant waters and possible adventures but for now live the life that’s yours while you you daydream about the day ahead. Prepared for the worst, ready for the best, you tread lightly through time without realizing you’re already losing sight of land and all the bonds it held upon you.

Family, friends, obligations, technology. All are left behind until you return. But until you do, you are master and commander of your fate. Your choices and decisions directly affect your well-being and sometimes immediately; so choose wisely.

And may you be happy to return home the next time you see the SLOW NO WAKE buoy floating silently in the harbor. For every sailor knows that while on land, you long for the sea and while at sea, you long to return home.
